In the lead-up to the 2009 FISM Magic World Championships, Simon was featured in a half-page article on the back cover of 'Metro', The Age's arts section.

The Travel Channel decided to film a segment at the Magic Castle. Simon scored gratuitous airtime. The clip still gets played on continental flights to and from Los Angeles.

Featured along with John Gaughan, Shawn Farquhar and Paul Kieve in the May issue of American Express' exclusive 'Centurion' magazine for Amex Black card holders.

When SBS radio found out that there was a Chinese speaking close-up illusionist in Melbourne, various interviews and performances ensued. This however was the only one that was broadcast entirely in Mandarin.

Also recorded in the lead-up to Simon's debut show at the Melbourne International comedy festival.

In the lead-up to the 2009 Melbourne Magic Festival, a number of radio interviews occurred. Some were good, some were less so. The Fox FM one in particular, we still never speak of. This one, with the charismatic Waleed Aly on the Richard Stubbs show, was one of the better ones.

Featured in the ABC show 'Collectors', during a segment on the State Library of Victoria's Magic Collection.

After winning the Australian Society of Magicians' close-up magic contest for the third year in a row, media coverage ensued. This interview with Mark Mitchell was one of the highlights. Simon still claims the SMS card trick incident was completely accidental.

While producing a series of Jazz and Magic nights at Dizzy's, a popular Jazz venue in Melbourne, Simon and the other people involved were featured on the front page of 'Metro', The Age's arts section.

In June 2005, the State Library of Victoria was running a special exhibition on the life and collections of Will Alma, a famous magician in Melbourne's history. Looking for someone with experience of the collection to interview, The Herald Sun found Simon. The resulting article was gratifyingly lax on coverage of the actual exhibition.
